Boarding

  • Are the fares for one person or for one vehicle?

  • As it is a shared-taxi service, the fares are intended for one person.

  • When and where should I pay?

  • You can pay in cash to the driver (or our staff) at boarding point. Credit cards are not accepted.

  • Can I get a receipt?

  • Yes. Please ask it to our driver or our staff at payment.

  • Are there any of your drivers of staff waiting at the arrival hall?

  • No. As our drivers may not be able to leave the vehicles, we kindly ask you to come to the boarding point by yourself unless you have any special request.

  • I've never used Akita Airport. Is it easy to find the boarding point?

  • Yes. To get there (about 30 meters from the airport), take the exit on the arrival level, cross at a pedestrian crossing, then turn left. There's also our blue sign there.

  • How large is the vehicle?

  • It depends on the number of passengers booked for the same service. We offer a saloon or mini MPV if the number is small, and a minibus or multiple saloons if the number is large.

  • What is my luggage allowance?

  • The type of vehicle offered for the services depends on the number of passengers so there could be some cases in which we may not be able to carry your luggage.

    To avoid such inconvenience, please follow the luggage policy below.

    * L 155 cm x W 55 cm (approx.)

    And please contact the Airportliner service companies in advance if you have larger luggage with you.

  • Can you make nature stops?

  • Yes, just ask the driver and they'll make it at some shops or stations whenever possible, but we advise you to have a wash before departure.

  • .Can I eat or drink on board?

  • You may eat or drink on board unless it causes offence or a hazard to the driver or other passengers sharing the service with you.

  • Do you have child safety seats available for my child(ren)?

  • No, and for safety reason, we kindly ask you to keep an eye on your child(ren) whenever you're on board.

  • Is the service wheelchair accessible?

  • Yes, as long as you mention it when you make a booking that you're traveling with your wheelchair, and that you will be on board with accompanying person(s).

    And please also inform the Airportliner service companies at the time of the booking if you're carrying other than a folding wheelchair (of the size that which can fit in the boot.)

  • Can I travel with animals?

  • As it is a shared-taxi service, we cannot carry dogs or any other animals on any Airportliner service other than assistance dogs. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Can I make a stopover?

  • As a general rule, no. But you may make a stopover at Kakunodate if you're taking Nyuto- or Tamagawa routes.

    If you take Oga Peninsula route or if you'd like to continue your travel with Akita Shinkansen (Bullet train), you may get on/off at JR Akita Station.

  • Is the service always on time? What if it makes many stops for pick-up/drop-off?

  • As you may imagine, the departure/arrival time could vary in these conditions. The Airportliner service companies will contact you when we know that there'll be possible early arrival/delay.
